This book contains the wit and wisdom of 170 figures throughout history — the famous, the infamous, and lesser lights.  
The 64 pages of hundreds of quotations speak of peace & war, democracy, community, humanity, morality, courage, love …  
The quotes selected by the editors are not well known but are literary/philosophical gems. Some are fun, but all are serious.
